Anti Cultism & Drug Campaign: Social Media Influencer Takes Message To Rural Youths (Photos)



A Social media activist and influencer, Eze Jonah Odo has taken his campaign against cultism and drug addiction to the rural areas.
Eze who indicated his resolve to take the message to the remotest parts of the state said the current development and vulnerability of the youths especially in Ohaukwu, Ezza South, Afikpo and other parts of the State needs urgent contribution of every stakeholder; young and old to ensure that the twin jinx of cultism and drug addiction were stemmed.

Speaking in a ‘Youth Seminar’ at the Immaculate Conception Church, Ndiagu Orie, at his instance, Eze reminded the youths of their very bright future and the need to jealously secure it.

He disclosed that his ‘catch them young approach, through the seminar was his contribution to the peace and safety of Ngboejiogu clan and Ohaukwu council Area in general.
In his goodwill message, the former Chairman of Ohaukwu local government Area, and the now Commissioner in the Ebonyi State Civil Service, Chief Cyril Obazi thanked Eze for his initiative.

He advised other youths in the area to emulate him.
Chief Obazi however regretted that despite effort made previously by several bodies to curb the menace and resurgence of cultism in the area, it was yet to be completely eradicated.
He therefore advised the youths to turn their time to profitable ventures bearing in mind that they were the true leaders of tomorrow.
He thanked the State government, under Engr David Nweze Umahi as well as the Chairman of Ohaukwu Council Area, Hon Clement Odah for the enabling Environment, as well as support to the young Jonah Eze in his drive to recover the youths of the area.
Also speaking, another former Chairman of Ohaukwu Council Area, Hon Prince Kennedy Ogba, who is also the Coordinator, School evangelism Team, Ebonyi North zone, advised Parents to watch over their wards and ensure that they bring them up in Godly ways, to avoid derailing in the journey of life.
Hon Ogba reminded the youths of the area of greater opportunities especially under the present Administration, awaiting them.
He promised youth of the area of inclusion in the state government empowerment programmes only if they could heed to the message, as brought by the team.
In a vote of thanks on behalf of the host community, a stakeholder, Mr Emmanuel Oge, thanked Mr Eze as well as the government team for their sacrifice and commitment in taking their gospel to Villages and Hamlets..
The Youth Seminar was attended by youths, members of age grade and Community security, Church leaders, as well as other stakeholders from the area, with other Social media influencers like Nwede Martins, Agbo Humphery, Ebenyi Humphery Esomchi, Egbo Sunday and many others, who spoke on various topics and who were physically present to give support to one of their own.
