Ebonyi Govt Lauds Blaze FM For Adequate Coverage of Gov Umahi’s Achievements, Pledges More Robust Relationship With The Station.



The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Information and state Orientation, Mr Uchenna Orji has appreciated Blaze fm for its disposition to bridge the information gap between Ebonyi and the people of Anambra state, through adequate reportage of the Achievements of the Engr David Umahi led Administration.

Mr Orji stated this when he received the Management of Blaze FM who paid him a courtesy visit in his office in Abakaliki.

The Commissioner, who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mr Ken Uhuo, said it was quite impressive to have a station, like Blaze fm, as it has not only bridged the hitherto existing gap between the two states, but also serves as a linking bridge between the state, and her indigenes who are resident in Anambra State.

Mr Uhuo, emphasised that with the large Community of Ebonyi people in Anambra state, coupled with the outreach of Blaze FM, Ebonyi indigenes resident in the state feel better at home when they hear news of positive happenings in their state, just as it had also diminished the level of misinformation orchestrated in the social media.

He commended the Blaze fm family on the richness of their coverage through news contents which according to him had reflected the true strides of the Governor Umahi’s Administration, while stressing that Ebonyi has become a progressive state courtesy of the state Governor who has not only transformed the state in the area of infrastructure, but also restored the once lost confidence of the people of the state, who were before the present time locked in psychological trauma and complex, having been classified as backward.

Earlier, the Head of Station, Goodluck Nnaji, told the Commissioner that the visit was to seek Ebonyi State Government partnership towards further mutual and fruitful relationship.

She stated that the station was disposed towards perfect synergy with the government towards promoting what she described as beautiful strides and legacies of the Governor Umahi led Administration.

Also speaking, the Head of content, Mr Chu Nwankwo, said over thirty percent of the station’s listenership come from the state, hence its decision to tailor its programmes, in addition to news contents to suit the people.

He disclosed that the station covers eight states of the federation, with close to ten million listeners, with an additional advantage of live streaming, which makes the Station’s audience grow by the day, with Ebonyi people forming an integral part of the growing listenership.
