EBONYI INFORMATION COMMISSIONER RECEIVES NEW STATE RATTAWU EXCO, CHARGES THEM TO REMAIN PROMOTERS OF ENGR UMAHI’S GOOD GOVERNANCE

The Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Mr Orji Uchenna Orji has charged members of the Radio, Television and Arts Theatres workers’ union, RATTAWU, to remain promoters of democracy and the good governance of the Engr David Umahi led Administration.

Mr Orji who gave the charge when he received members of the Radio, Television, and theatre Arts union, Ebonyi State Council who paid him a courtesy visit in Abakaliki, said RATTAWU had been a veritable partner in the development of the state, particularly under the Engr David Umahi led Administration.

He stated that in Developmental journalism which is one of the cardinal principles of journalism, RATTAWU is a key player as it had never been found wanting, and had been in the vanguard of dissemination of accurate information in the nation’s fledgling Democracy.

He emphasized that if all media stakeholders could join in commensurate dissemination of information regarding the strides of the state Chief Executive, the world could be brought to terms with the new status of the state, courtesy of Engr David Umahi.

He congratulated the new Executives of the union, on their recent election and promised to convey their warm appreciation, to the state Chief Executive whose leading infrastructural and human empowerment strides are widely being celebrated.

Earlier, the Chairman of RATTAWU, Ebonyi state council Comrade Nwanweuche Azu Ewah appreciated the state governor for his giant strides which according to him has culminated into a total face-lift of the state.

He stated that the Infrastructural and Human Empowerment programmes of the state governor, had placed him ahead of his contemporaries, while thanking him for what he described as ‘religious appointment’ of Hon Uchenna Orji, as Commissioner for Information and state Orientation, as well as Acting Commissioner, Ministry of Human Capital Development.
