EBONYI MINISTRY OF INFORMATION, CELEBRATES PRINCE ANYA OKORIE, AS HE BOWS OUT, AFTER 35 YEARS OF GLORIOUS SERVICE

The management of Ebonyi State Ministry of information and state orientation has bid farewell to the retired Director of Information, Prince Anya Okorie.

Speaking at a Valedictory Management meeting in honour of the retired Director, the Commissioner for Information and state Orientation, Barr. Uchenna Orji, said the ministry of information and State Orientation will miss his sagacious contributions which resulted in the optimal performance of the Information ministry.

Mr Orji congratulated the retired Director, Prince Anya Okorie, for retiring gracefully after contributing 35 years in service of government and humanity without blemishes.

Mr Orji described Prince Okorie as a household name in the media sector, whose contribution and professional impacts were overwhelming and highly sought in the development of the state, while wishing him well in his future endeavours.

The information boss said the ministry would always tap from his wealth of knowledge in its avowed determination to project the good image of the state.

Also speaking, the Permanent secretary in the ministry, Mr Ken Uhuo scored the retired Director high for promoting staff welfare and instilling the spirit of togetherness and brotherhood in the ministry.

Mr Uhuo went down memory lane to recount CORDIAL working relationship with other staff and public office holders since the inception of Government House press unit, in 1996, admonishing him not to be tired in serving the state and humanity in any capacity.

Responding, the retired Director of Information, Prince Anya Okorie, who was full of gratitude, thanked God for his life, strength and enablement to serve the state for 35 years.

He appreciated the then Imo, Abia, and now Ebonyi state government for giving him the opportunity to contribute his quota to the development of the state, and promised to always bring his experiences forward, towards nation building.
