Victim of Ezza/Effium Crises, who lost her entire family delivers a set of twins in the bush, receives succour



A Victim of Ezza/Effium Crises, Mrs Favour Ovu of Okpodume Ekpereke, who delivered a set of twins in the bush where she ran to take refuge, after she lost her husband and children who were killed in the crisis has been rescued by a good Samaritan.

She has also received succour.

According to an online account by Nkechi Uche, Public Relations officer, Ebonyi State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Ovu who delivered a set of twins in the bush where she took refuge having lost her husband and children in the mayhem was later handed over to the Ministry.

She said the mother twins was admitted in the hospital courtesy of the Ministry and on discharge from the hospital, procured food items, wrapper and other clothing materials for the babies.

According to Mrs Uche, she was also gifted with some amount of money to assist her.

She wrote; “The Permanent Secretary, Mrs Florence Nwali, while handing over the gift items, thanked God for the miracle and His protection upon her life and that of her babies.

“She also enjoined her to take solace in the Lord and also ensure she takes adequate care of the babies, and equally assured her of the Ministry’s continual support.”

The Ebonyi state government had early this week inaugurated a panel of inquiry into the Effium/Ezza-Effium bloodbath.
