Wife of Former Vice-Chancellor of Ebonyi State University Laid To Rest (Pics)



The remains of Dr (Mrs)Mary Enosh Ogah, Wife of the pioneer Vice-Chancellor of Ebonyi State University, Prof Fidelis Ogah was committed to mother earth today, Friday, 22nd April 2022 at her Home Town, Egunwen Ohatekwe – Amagu, Ikwo LGA of Ebonyi State.

Dignitaries from all walks of life graced the last respect.

Professor Fidelis Ogah, Member Order of the Niger was a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education, EBSU before he was appointed the pioneer vice chancellor in the institution.

Speaking during the funeral, cousin of the deceased and member representing Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, Comrade Chinedu Ogah, described late Mrs Mary Enosh Ogah as a virtuous woman and an asset to the Ogah family and the state in general.

He said, “I thank you all that honoured our invitation for this burial: she had the heart that cared completely. She had the smile that brought so much pleasure. She had the love that brought joy beyond measure”

“Life is eternal and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon.
And a horizon is nothing save the limits of our sights”

The Governor of Ebonyi State was represented by the Deputy Governor Dr. Eric Kelechi Igwe.

Also present at the funeral were; former governor of Ebonyi State, Chief Martin Nwanchor Elechi, Members of Ebonyi State Executive Council, members of the governing council of EBSU and Alex- Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo, Chairmen of Local Government Area, old Anambra State commissioner, Chief Elder Nwegede Idah, Dr Ilang Donatus, Chief Amaga Chika, among others.
